Colian: Perhaps the most advanced of the vegetable races, Colians resemble thick bunches of celery, ranging between one and three meters in height, depending on age. These bunches consist of between ten and fifty ribbed stalks, always in multiples of five. The stalks can serve multiple purposes as trunk or limbs (both arms and legs). It is believed that a Colian's intelligence is distributed throughout its stalks. Certainly there's no apparent brain case or "head." Despite this, most races consider the Colians to be at least roughly humanoid because when they are out among other races they redistribute their stalks to approximate legs and arms and a torso with a leafy sensory stalk at the top.

Among their other talents, Colians are known for building pretty decent spaceships.
